Description
Linoleic acid is a well-known omega-6 fatty acid that is essential for the body since it cannot synthesize it. As the most abundant fatty acid in the skin and a structural precursor to ceramides, it plays a central role in a healthy skin barrier. A deficiency is linked to a disrupted barrier and acne. Research shows that topical application helps reduce microcomedones and brightens UVB-induced hyperpigmentation. It is a versatile ingredient with skin-repairing, anti-acne, and brightening properties.
